SunDocket is built by Seth Wise — 30+ years in app design and data systems, from enterprise systems integration and data management for companies like Discovery Communications and Cellular One to founding and shipping consumer and business software. Interconnection paperwork is, underneath, a data-systems problem: published rules, structured documents, revision tracking. That's the career, pointed at solar.

I'm based in Phoenix, Arizona — APS, SRP, and TEP territory — which is part of why the first wave leans Southwest. And this is a founder-run project: when you fill out the design-partner form, I'm the one who reads it and replies. When a wiki page is wrong, I'm the one who fixes it. There's no sales team to get routed through; the email in the footer reaches me.

Interconnection paperwork is a strange kind of hard. The rules aren't secret — every utility publishes its requirements — but they're scattered across tariff books, form revisions, and portal quirks, they differ by territory, and they drift. So the knowledge lives in coordinators' heads and spreadsheets, and a checkbox or a stale form revision can cost a project weeks.

That's not a talent problem. It's an encoding problem — the kind software is actually good at. Rules that are published, structured, and checkable belong in a system that fills the forms right the first time. That's the whole idea: the exact requirements of your utility, encoded.
