How SunDocket will work

Answer one structured intake and the whole packet follows — the utility's forms filled, the attachments listed, the diagram templated, and every deficiency notice tracked to zero.

SD-01 · Three steps

REV 2026-08-12

1 · Answer once

Project specs, site data, and certified equipment go in through one guided intake — each question exists because some utility requires the answer.

2 · Get the packet

Filled application forms, the required-attachments checklist for that utility, and a single-line-diagram template come out the other side.

3 · Track to approval

Deficiency notices get logged the moment they arrive and worked until the open count reads zero.

SD-03 · What's in a packet

REV 2026-08-12
  • Completed utility application form — filled from your intake answers, on that utility's current form revision
  • Site plan and required attachments — per that utility's checklist, not a generic list
  • Single-line diagram — built from a template for your engineer to review
  • Fee summary and submission instructions — who receives it, how, and what it costs to file
  • Deficiency log — started at zero, with every notice tracked until it's resolved

SD-04 · What SunDocket is not

OUT OF SCOPE · V1

Four things we don't do

  • Direct portal-submission APIs — we prepare the packet; you make the actual submission
  • Utility-scale and FERC queue work — we stay at the distribution level
  • Residential permitting — AHJ permits are a different problem; we work the utility side
  • Engineering stamps — we partner with licensed engineers and never perform engineering ourselves

Validate

Customer interviews and 5 design partners. First packets produced concierge-style, with dual human review.

NEXT

Build & pilot

The MVP, built alongside partners. Target: 10 utilities encoded at launch, 25 by month 4.

THEN

Paid launch

Public pricing switches on. Target: 40 utilities encoded by month 12.

Coverage numbers are targets, not commitments — the public roadmap tracks real status. Design partners start filing right away (concierge pilot, dual human review); public paid launch is targeted for the first half of 2027 — a target, not a commitment.

5 PARTNER SLOTS

Help us encode your utility first.

The first 5 design partners get 5 free filings, then 40% off for 6 months — and their filing mix decides which utilities get encoded first.
